Anna Silk was the first child born to Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, as well as a teacher of St. Thomas University). Anna was born in Fredericton. She is the daughter of the couple Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending performances for her plays as a child and observing her mother at work. In her early years Anna was a part of a variety of commercials on television. Anna relocated from Toronto to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting workshop in 2007. The two were engaged by the year 2009. Anna was a convert to the Jewish faith at the age of 11, after having converted to Judaism. They were married civilly in December of that year and then renewed their vows during an Jewish ceremony in Fredericton, in April 2011. Bo's sex-based romance with Lauren was highlighted by CNN's most popular TV Couples ever, and was named the top TV Couple 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Its popularity led to Anna growing a substantial online following on social media.
