Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised alongside 12 other kids. Her vivid imagination allowed her to escape the harsh realities of everyday life. Before she could read and write she was making up the songs she wrote herself. When she got her first guitar at the age of 8, she began to perform on local radio stations from Knoxville, Tennessee. In the same year, she recorded her debut recording for Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. Although she became a local star while in the high school years, her dreams were much bigger. After graduating from the high school in 1964, she moved immediately to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) and Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for female performers to join his syndicated show in the years prior to this. Parton joined RCA Records and then joined the Grand Ole Opry. She accepted her job in 1967. However, it wasn't until 1974 that she decided to leave Wagoner's program as the popularity of her solo albums like Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene was outstripping their joint efforts. Parton recorded "I I Will Never Forget You" for Wagoner shortly after they separated. The track reached the top spot at No. The first time a song hit the top spot.
