Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, host of a TV show and actress who is best known for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Born in Arkansas She was raised by her parents in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl was raised by a difficult family. Sheryl spent a large portion of her childhood taking care of her sister Frankie as she was a victim of polio. She faced a lot of problems with her mother as she was growing older. Sheryl claims that her mom one time slapped her father for getting too close. After her graduation from college, Sheryl entered the military. Her interest in comedy became much more prominent. She was the first woman to be a finalist in the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. Her TV career in 1992 after she became a frequent guest in the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. Then in 2000 she starred as an host on the T.V. series Oh Drama! Since 2011, she has been being a co-host for The Talk, a talk show. The Talk. In addition, she has played the role of a fictional character in shows such as Bulworth, Nikki or Beauty Shop.
